Deputy Dillon said: "The opening of this funding to applications is part of the €10 million, once-off, additional allocation for mental health announced as part of Budget 2022. This is in line with the Government’s commitment to further enhance the experiences of people using mental health services and supports. The €1 million fund allocated for the Mental Health Grants for Community & Voluntary Agencies 2022 is critical to ensure the benefits of this funding is felt locally. It will provide once-off grants ranging from €5,000 to €30,000. The funding is designed to encourage and support local voluntary groups to respond to the particular mental health needs of their local areas. There are a range of projects which are eligible for this funding, but they must align to the four domains of Sharing the Vision or seven goals of Connecting for Life.
